about

The Mithras Liturgy (2015) is a visionary ritual also found in the PGM. It includes a detailed discussion of the words, actions, and ritual implements necessary to pass by supernatural guardians and ascend through the celestial spheres. In this electronic piece, my colleague, classics professor Dr. Mischa Hooker, reads the original text, alternating between Greek and voces mysticae – the careful listener will be able to discern long strings of vowels. The music becomes increasingly intense as the initiate moves toward the revelation of the god Mithras himself.
